1. What is standard roaming and how does it work?
- Standard Roaming (Pay As You Go or PayGo) is with no roaming plan active on account.
- The below will be standard roaming:
- Prepaid customers roaming in an eligible destination without an active roaming plan and the customer will be charged the standard roaming rates.
- Prepaid customers roaming in a country not listed as an eligible roaming plan destination will be standard roaming whether or not a roaming plan is active.
- Customers in eligible destination who do not a have an active Roaming plan will be required to accept PayGo charges to browse PayGo at the standard data roaming rate.
2. What are the Standard Roaming rates for PayGo?
Below are the Standard Roaming Rates customers will pay without a roaming plan:

3. Will customers get data to access the My Digicel App?
- Yes, customers who are PayGo roaming in the eligible Caribbean destination will still get 100MB daily free for My Digicel app usage. The 100MB refreshes at 12:00:01 AM daily.
4. What happens if an attempt is made to access data while in a roaming in an eligible destination with no active roaming plan?
- When a subscriber’s device attempts to access roaming data while in a eligible roaming destination with no active roaming plan on account they will not be able to browse or access data. If an attempt is made to browse, a PayGo Pop Up notification wall will be sent to the customer advising:
PayGo is block (No access to data): Pay As You Go data roaming will automatically be blocked for all subscribers; upon retrieval of the PayGo Block notification Pop-Up if an option is not selected PayGo will remain blocked. Customers will not be allowed to browse or access data when the PayGo Block is enabled.
Buy a plan (upsell roaming plan): An upsell option will be displayed when a customer tries to access data roaming with no active plan. Once the PayGo wall is displayed the customer will have the option “Buy a Plan” to activate a roaming plan of their choice. With sufficient credit on the account the plan selected by the customer will be activated and plan applied to account.
PayGo Opt-In: If a customer selects the option to Opt-in to PayGo, they will receive a confirmation message advising of the rates associated with the PayGo charges from their main account. The access to PayGo will remain active for 24hours, if the subscriber wishes to continue using PayGo data they will need to opt-in again after 24hrs.
5. What is the PaygGo wall?
- The PayGo Wall allow seamless access to browsing when data allotment on a roaming plan is available and instant UMM/Pop-Up Menu when no data is available while roaming plan is active on account when a browsing attempt is made.
- The Pop up will only show under the following circumstances:
- Customer’s Mobile Data is enabled natively on their devices
- Customer does NOT have an active roaming plan on their account
- The Data Paygo block is ACTIVE
- Customer is not connected to WIFI
- The PayGo Pop-Up will be sent once every 4 hours between the hours of 8am to 11:59pm (home network time).
Opt-In to Pay-Go
6. If the customer opt-in to pay-go how can this be remove?
- The Pay-go plan will be remove 24hrs after activation or if the customer activate a roaming plan.
- N.B. once the customer opt- in to the PayGo they will not receive the notification.
7. If a customer have Roam Easy Caribbean plan and the old Roam Easy International plan, which will be charge first?
- If the customer is making calls in the eligible destination for the Roam Easy International plan they will be charge from the Roam Easy international plan will be use first, once the mins has been depleted they will be charge the old roam Easy rate $25 per min.
- If the customer is using data and roaming in eligible destination for the Roam Easy international plan they will us the Roam Easy international data first then the data from the Roam Easy Caribbean plan.
- If the customer is sending SMS in the Roam Easy International plan they will be charge $15 per 160 char
